Welcome to Art History Rambles!

Hiya! Welcome to Art History Rambles - part diary, part blog, part brain dump. Before we dive in, it would be rude not to introduce myself, so here’s a little insight into who I am, what this is, and what’s in store!

So…who am I?

Well, I’m glad you ‘asked’.

I’m Alisha, a recent art history graduate who loves to yap, overshare, and - yes - ramble. I’m currently navigating the post-graduate job market in London, which has been…well…let’s not even talk about it. So, instead of applying for jobs, I thought, why not distract myself with writing? Sounds like a solid plan to me!

What is Art History Rambles?

So, Art History Rambles is essentially a diary of my art historical interests. There’s not much theme or planning to what I write - just a mix of recommendations, essays, love letters, and gossip. My goal is to make the art world more accessible to people who don’t have an art background, so expect a chaotic stream of pieces like these:

What can you expect?

Now, I’ll try not to make too many promises I can’t keep, but I’ll do my best to deliver a new post every two weeks. I also post art recommendations on my notes every few days, so be sure to check those out. Plus, if your attention span is anything like mine, you can catch more digestible, frequent content on my TikTok and Instagram (under the same handle).

Subscribe, pretty please ◡̈

If you like my rambles - or even if you can just about tolerate them - please subscribe! It’ll guarantee that you’re notified for when I next publish one of my new posts.

Join the ramble group !

My aim is to create a community on this platform where we can all share our interests and thoughts. So, please don’t be shy — interact! Tell me what you love or loathe about an artist or artwork, share your recommendations, and let me know what you'd like me to talk about next. Honestly, just ramble like I do—I’ll truly appreciate it ♡
